titleOfInvention | Image display panel and manufacturing method thereof |
abstract | The present invention provides an image display panel in which variations in film thickness and film quality in the substrate are small and characteristics as an image display panel do not vary within the substrate, and a method for manufacturing the same. An image display medium 3 is sealed between 1 and 2 substrates, at least one of which is transparent, and an electric field is applied to the image display medium by applying a voltage to electrodes 5 and 6 provided on the substrate. Thus, in the image display panel that displays the image by moving the image display medium, the metal oxide insulating film 11 formed by the anodic oxidation method is formed on the metal electrode. Further, the insulating film 11 is connected to all the metal electrodes on the substrate and the dummy electrode provided at the end of the substrate, and the substrate is immersed in the anodic oxidation solution with only the dummy electrode being taken out from the anodic oxidation solution. In addition, a platinum plate is immersed, a dummy electrode is used as a positive electrode, a platinum plate is used as a negative electrode, and a voltage is applied to obtain a metal oxide insulating film on the metal electrode by an anodic oxidation method.
