titleOfInvention Pollution-free treatment of sulfuric acid pitch
abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a non-polluting treatment of sulfuric acid sludge that has been abandoned in the ocean at a low cost for the complete reuse of the residue. In the present invention, incineration is performed while desulfurizing and recovered in the form of sulfate, ash is processed into building materials, and hydrocarbons generated during incineration are used as fuel. Then, this sulfuric acid pitch sludge is mixed with minerals and compression molded to form solid fuel for thermal power generation or boiler fuel, which is then mixed with ironworks coal and used as a coal substitute. Further, hydrogen gas generated in the low temperature heating process is used as a heat source for the fuel cell, and is recovered as a free carbon in the low temperature heating. Residue ash can be used as a cement additive, a raw material for gypsum, and as a treatment for sulfuric acid pitch. [Selection figure] None
