PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scintillator material having a large light emission amount, a short fluorescence decay time and a short light emission rise time. SOLUTION: In a general formula: Lu 1-X B 1 + X O 3 (where 0 ≦ X ≦ 0.7), Ce is 0.8 with respect to the total mass of the lutetium borate. It is doped with ˜5.0 mass%. Therefore, it is possible to combine a large light emission amount, a short fluorescence decay time, and a short light emission rise time. Note that when the crystal structure is a calcite structure, the amount of light emission can be increased. When a photomultiplier tube is used as a detector, the range of X is more preferably 0 ≦ X ≦ 0.5. [Selection] Figure 1 |
