abstract 【Task】 To provide a photoelectrode that can be used in the production of a dye-sensitized solar cell having a high photoelectric conversion efficiency by increasing the generated current by suppressing scattered light to the outside of the semiconductor layer. [Solution] The photoelectrode of the present invention is a photoelectrode having a conductive substrate 1 and a semiconductor layer 3 made of semiconductor fine particles formed on the conductive substrate 1, wherein the semiconductor layer 3 has an average particle size of the semiconductor fine particles. And the distal layer 3b disposed at a position farther from the substrate covers at least a part of the side surface of the proximal layer 3a disposed at a position closer to the substrate.
