abstract A technique related to a monoclonal antibody produced by a hybridoma having ATCC accession number HB10916 is provided. A monoclonal antibody capable of binding to a protein specifically recognized by monoclonal antibody 5c8 produced by a hybridoma having ATCC accession number HB10916 is provided. The invention also provides an isolated protein that is specifically recognized by monoclonal antibody 5c8 produced by the hybridoma of ATCC accession number HB10916. The invention further provides an isolated nucleic acid molecule that encodes a protein that is specifically recognized by monoclonal antibody 5c8 produced by the hybridoma of ATCC accession number HB10916. The present invention also human CD4, ATCC Accession Number CRL10915 called D1.1 capable of essentially imparting contact-dependent helper function to B cells - providing T-cell leukemia cell.
