titleOfInvention | Electrophotographic developer and image forming method |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-component developer having good fluidity even with a small amount of additives, substantially less photoconductor contamination and filming, and good fixability. Further, it is an object to provide an image forming method in which the developer is hardly deteriorated even in high-speed mass copying and long-term use, the photoreceptor is less worn, and the cleaning failure and filming can be prevented. In an image forming method having a cleaning means for removing residual toner on a latent image carrier after transfer, the two-component developer has a magnetic carrier and a toner, and the weight average particle diameter of the carrier is 35. The toner contains 1 to 15% by number of toner particles having a size of 5 μm or less, 5% by weight or less of toner particles having a diameter twice the weight average particle size, and a cumulative number distribution of 25% and 75%. %, The relationship between the number average particle diameter D25 and D75 is 0.60 ≦ D25 / D75 ≦ 0.85, and the weight average particle diameter is 6.0 to 11.5 μm.
