The present invention provides a magenta toner for electrostatic image development that has excellent colorability and chargeability, and can improve the image quality of a full-color image and improve the printing quality. An electrostatic image developing toner comprising magenta toner particles containing a binder resin, a magenta pigment and a pigment dispersant, wherein the pigment dispersant has a weight average molecular weight of 1,000 to 100,000.
