PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To re-release a gas that has been removed by chemically combining malodorous substances, in which zinc carbonate or zinc oxide as a deodorant component is uniformly dissolved in a solvent and has a removal effect on many kinds of malodorous substances. There is no antibacterial deodorant which is excellent in storage stability, low in price and safe for the human body. The antibacterial deodorant of the present invention contains zinc carbonate and / or zinc oxide and at least one amino acid selected from the group of glycine, alanine, phenylalanine, glutamate and sarcosine as active ingredients. The combined ratio of zinc carbonate and / or zinc oxide and amino acid is in the range of 1: 2 to 1:50 by weight. Antibacterial deodorants are usually used in the form of aqueous solutions, sprays or aerosols. Furthermore, it is preferably used in the form of an aqueous solution in which the concentration of the active ingredient in the deodorant is adjusted to 0.1 to 10% by weight.
