abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of accurately measuring a communication distance between two communication terminals. A communication system includes a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter and the receiver are arranged in a wireless communication space. The transmitter completes transmission of the data DATT to the receiver in synchronization with the timing t1. When the reception of the data DARR from the transmitter is completed, the receiver starts transmission of the data DART to the transmitter after a certain time SIFS has elapsed (timing t3). Then, the transmitter measures the total time between the timing t1 and the timing t6 at which the data DATR from the receiver starts to be stably received, and communicates with the receiver based on the measured total time.
