titleOfInvention Image forming apparatus
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deviation of the trajectory of an electron beam emitted from an electron-emitting device adjacent to a spacer when using a spacer which is prevented from being charged by being coated with a high resistance film, and to display a good image. A possible image forming apparatus is provided. A surface shape is controlled by forming a fine particle film on a surface of a row-direction wiring 5 on which a spacer 3 is disposed, and contact areas 15a and 15b in a non-contact area 16 between the spacer 3 and the row-direction wiring 5 are controlled. Electrons are emitted from the electron emission regions 14 a and 14 b, and the non-contact region 16 of the spacer 3 is irradiated with electrons to lower the potential, thereby forming a good equipotential line 17.
