titleOfInvention Disposal container and disposal method for high-level radioactive waste and TRU waste
abstract [Problem] When disposing of high-level radioactive waste and TRU waste, it is possible to prevent deterioration of the disposal container due to corrosion and ensure safety over a long period of time. A high-level radioactive waste and TRU waste disposal container and disposal method capable of reducing resources are provided. SOLUTION: A ceramic fiber or cloth made of carbon fiber or silicon carbide fiber is combined with an organic polymer substance which is a precursor of these ceramic fibers and one or more of carbon, silicon carbide, boron nitride or borosilicon carbonitride. A disposal container made of a composite material obtained by applying a mixture with a fine powder to form a container shape and firing the container shape. A high-level radioactive waste or TRU waste is stored in a disposal container, and the geological disposal is performed in a state where a clay material added with one or more kinds of fine powders of carbon, silicon carbide, or boron nitride is installed around the container.
