| abstract | In a bicycle front derailleur, an operation force required for shifting up is reduced. A front derailleur 97f includes a base member 40, a chain guide 41, an inner link 42, an outer link 43, a first arm portion 44, and a coil spring 45. The base member is mounted on the frame, and the chain guide is movable in a speed change direction that is in contact with and away from the base member, and guides the chain in the speed change direction. The inner link is disposed below the base member with the base member mounted on the frame, and both ends of the inner link are rotatably connected to the base member and the chain guide. The outer link is disposed in parallel to the inner link, with both ends being rotatably connected to the base member and the chain guide at a position farther from the base member than the inner link. The first arm portion extends from the outer link in a direction away from the base member, and the coil spring is coupled at both ends to the base member and the tip of the first arm portion, and urges the chain guide in a direction approaching the frame.
