A flame resistant glazing (sheet glass) comprising a flame resistant intermediate layer based on silicate water glass and characterized by the incorporation of aluminum ions. The aluminate is incorporated as a partially neutralized solution with hydroxy-carboxylic acid, preferably citric acid. The incorporation of aluminum provides glazing with excellent flame resistance and impact properties. |
