The present invention relates to a lysis reagent for use in simultaneous automatic electronic counting and volume discrimination of different types of blood cells (eg, white blood cells, platelets, etc.) in blood. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a Coulter (impedance) counting device containing the reagent, for example a disposable cartridge for characterizing cells suspended in a liquid, in particular for single use analysis, eg single use of a small amount of whole blood. The present invention relates to a Coulter counting device having a self-contained disposable cartridge for analysis. |
