Embolism prevention device |
abstract |
The embolic protection device (270) can be formed of a biocompatible expandable polymer that is expandable upon release within the patient's tube (274). The structure can be configured to filter the flow through the tube. The material of the embolism prevention device can release one or more bioactive substances such as thrombolytic agents including, for example, tPA. The embolic protection device (270) can be connected to a tether (276) from which one or more bioactive substances are eluted. |
