abstract | A process for separating R (−)-I and S (+)-5- [2-[[2- (2-ethoxyphenoxy) ethyl] amino] propyl] -2-methoxybenzenesulfonamide, comprising: (A) reacting the mixture of enantiomers with an optically active organic acid to form a diastereoisomeric salt having the enantiomer that has different solubilities and can be separated by crystallization; and (b) ) Separating the diastereomeric salt mixture concentrated in one salt of the enantiomer; and (c) releasing the salt to obtain the R (−) or S (+) enantiomer. Comprising. R (−)-5- [2-[[2- (2-Ethoxyphenoxy) ethyl] amino] propyl] -2-methoxybenzenesulfonamide enantiomer has α-adrenergic blocking activity and is congestive It is useful as an antihypertensive drug suitable for the treatment of congenital heart failure and benign prostatic hypertrophy. |
