titleOfInvention Rotating rack for automatic sample handling equipment
abstract Automatic sample handling device loading device (100). The device has an annular base plate (112) with several through holes (124) corresponding to the location of the sample well (106) of the automatic sample handling device. The annular top plate (120) is secured to the base plate (112) and has a through hole (106) that provides a storage well for the sample of the automated sample handling device. A solid rotating plate (118) with only one hole (132) is placed between the base plate and the top plate. In operation, the sample is loaded into the apparatus by placing it in the hole (106) of the top plate (120). As the user rotates the rotating plate (118), the sample is continuously loaded into the automatic sample handling device so that the sample is automatically sampled from the top plate (120) through the rotating plate (118) and the base plate. Can fall into the device. A cover (122) is provided on the top plate to allow samples to be stored in the instrument indefinitely.
