titleOfInvention | Method for producing ramoplanin-like amide derivatives |
abstract | The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a ramoplanin-like derivative of formula (I): RAMO-NC-CO-R (I), in which the group R represents a hydrocarbon group and the partial RAMO-NH- is deacylated. Of ramoplanin, any of its factors or ramoplanose. The compounds of formula (I) are obtained by reacting the carboxylic acid R-COOH with a deacylated ramoplanin protected on the ornithine amino group, any of its factors or ramoplanose. Novel compounds are claimed in which the hydrocarbon group R is different from that which characterizes ramoplanin and ramoplanose natural products and their tetrahydro-derivatives. The new compounds have the same or higher anti-infective activity, lower hemolytic effect and better tolerability aspects as ramoplanin. |
