The power generation device, the device has a first substrate with a conductive surface region and a second substrate paired with the first substrate. Preferably, this second substrate comprises an electret material region, which is characterized by a sufficiently uniform electric field. The conductive substrate and the electret substrate are aligned sufficiently in parallel so that both substrates directly facing each other have a common area area (A). A distance (d) characterizing the space separation distance is formed between this conductive surface region and the electret material region. The relative potential (V) between the conductive substrate and the electret substrate is related to the distance (d). Between the conductive substrate and the electret substrate, a material, a liquid, a gas, or a combination thereof having a dielectric constant (ε 0 ) associated therewith exists. This relative potential changes according to a change in the spatial separation distance (d) between the conductive surface region and the electret material region, a change in the overlapping area (A), or a change in the dielectric constant (ε 0 ). . |
