titleOfInvention Peptides for the treatment of cancer and other epithelial tumors associated with human papillomavirus (HPV)
abstract The present invention relates to the field of molecular pharmacology. More particularly, the present invention relates to the development of peptides that can be used advantageously in the treatment of epithelial tumors and tumors primarily associated with carcinogenic HPV. The main object of the present invention is to identify a peptide having a structure that blocks the phosphorylation domain by directly interacting with a site phosphorylated by casein kinase II (CKII). In the present invention, phosphorylation by CKII is inhibited in vitro , cytotoxicity to HPV-16 malignant transformed cells (CaSki cells), and the malignant transformed cells against the cell division inhibitory effect of interferon (IFN) are described above. Eleven cyclic peptides consisting of different amino acid sequences are disclosed which are characterized by increasing the sensitivity of. Furthermore, the present invention also discloses the use of the above-mentioned peptide combined or fused with other cell-penetrating peptides and chemical substances, and the use of both the above-mentioned peptide and its chemical mimic molecule.
