abstract The present invention relates to a template for producing an electrophoresis cassette (10). The mold is composed of a main body having a cassette forming portion formed on one side thereof, and the cassette forming portion is surrounded by an outer peripheral sheet engaging portion so as to extend the sheet substantially uniformly on the cassette forming portion. The outer peripheral sheet engaging portion is extended on a flat surface having a different bulk than the cassette forming portion. The present invention also provides a molding method for manufacturing the electrophoresis cassette, a method for filling the electrophoresis medium with the electrophoresis medium, and a protrusion provided to prevent the electrophoresis medium gel from adhering to the comb. It also relates to a comb (22) for an electrophoresis cassette adapted to be removably inserted into the cassette, comprising at least one tooth (32) having (104).
