Disclosed are methods for treating immunological, proliferative, or infectious diseases in warm-blooded animals. The method comprises administering to the animal a dose and activity of omega interferon (IFN) for the condition to be treated that is sufficient to induce a therapeutic response, which is well tolerated based on data on non-omega IFN. including. Omega IFN is administered alone or in combination with a therapeutically effective amount of at least one adjuvant treatment.
