titleOfInvention Recovery method of adsorptive separation products by fractional distillation
abstract The construction and operating costs for recovering the extract or raffinate product in the simulated moving bed adsorption separation process unit are reduced by using a partition to perform the separation. The raffinate stream (line 4) or the extract stream (line 13) is sent to the column 6 at an intermediate point on the first side of the septum 19. The column 6 provides the adsorption separation product as a side draw from the opposite side of the partition wall 19. The coadsorbed impurity stream is removed as an overhead stream and the desorbent is recovered as a net bottoms stream.
