Doped highly active adsorbent material |
abstract |
Disclosed are methods for increasing the activity of doped inorganic adsorbent materials in the adsorption of selected solute species from the gas phase or liquid phase. This method consists in selecting the kind or amount or molecular diameter of one or more dopants or adjusting the pore structure of the inorganic adsorbing material doped through doping. Also disclosed are doped inorganic adsorbent materials produced by the method and exhibiting high activity against selected solute species. Improved doped inorganic adsorbent materials are suitable in many different fields where adsorption of one or more selected solute species from the free fluid phase is required. |
