The method of forming a molded part, such as a molded absorbent core, for a disposable absorbent product is intended to provide a relatively wide web of material from which the part is cut. The web of material is slit longitudinally to form a plurality of subdivided webs each having molded parts arranged in series. The molded parts of adjacent ones of the subdivided webs are nested together, i.e., the longitudinally extending lines of the web extend through the adjacent subdivided web parts. Efficient formation is achieved by collecting margin portions of the web of material and recycling the collected portions at least partially for forming the wide web. |
