The present invention relates to intraluminal devices, particularly intraluminal prostheses, shunts, catheters or topical drug delivery devices. The device is provided with at least one coating to enhance biocompatibility. The coating contains a therapeutic agent contained in a matrix that adheres to the endoluminal device. The substrate is not formed of a biocompatible polymer, but is formed of a biocompatible oil or fat such as cod liver oil or olive oil. Preferably, the biocompatible oil or fat further comprises α-tocopherol. |
