Antisense antiviral agents and methods for the treatment of ssRNA virus infections |
abstract |
The present invention provides antisense antiviral compounds and methods for use in the inhibition of viral growth of the Picornaviridae, Caliciviridae, Togaviridae or Flavivinoviridae families for the treatment of viral infections. These antisense antiviral compounds are substantially uncharged oligomers and have a targeting base sequence that is substantially complementary to the viral target sequence spanning the AUG start site of the first open reading frame of the viral genome. . |
