The present invention relates to the production of hollow articles by injection molding / blowing polyester, more particularly hollow articles used for packaging effervescent beverages or drinks such as minerals or natural water. More particularly, the invention relates to relatively severe thermal stresses encountered in the course of procedures such as hollow articles having a high level of thermomechanical properties, such as filling hot liquids or pasteurizing the contents. It relates to the manufacture of bottles that can withstand without significant deformation. According to the invention, these hollow articles are obtained by injection molding / blowing a polyester having a high viscosity number and a low concentration of a monomer different from ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid. The hollow articles or bottles of the invention can be used in the process of packaging foods, for example beer packaging, especially where hot pasteurization processes are used. |
