The present invention relates to a method for producing an activated alumina catalyst impregnated with a base selected from alkali and alkaline earth metals, and application of synthesis. The catalyst is used for protecting amines, alcohols and thiols together with other types of protective reagents. This procedure is also widely applicable to N protection of amino acids which can be widely applied industrially. This catalyst is also effective for carrying out nucleophilic substitution of aromatic halides having electron-withdrawing groups. As with alcohols and thiols, various nucleophiles selected from primary, secondary, aromatic and aliphatic amines have been successfully used. This method is simple in operation and easy in post-treatment, and is effective for large-scale industrial production methods. In addition, since this reaction avoids harmful reactions, it also meets the requirements of green chemistry (environmentally friendly chemical synthesis). |
