Transdermal administration of enalapril ester |
abstract |
Pharmacy of enalapril ethyl ester or ACE inhibitor in an amount corresponding to a therapeutically effective amount of enalapril rat (or other pharmaceutically active form of enalapril) or pharmaceutically active form of ACE inhibitor Skin application compositions comprising other prodrugs corresponding to pharmaceutically active forms in admixture with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier are disclosed. In a preferred embodiment, the carrier is a pressure sensitive adhesive matrix comprising one polymer or polymer blend. The skin application composition is applied to a method that significantly increases the flow rate of enalapril rats through human or animal skin by maintaining the skin application composition in contact with the skin. |
