The present invention relates to a disaccharide of formula (I) derived from α-fluorinated maltosyl (wherein R 1 and R 2 are as defined in claim 1). The disaccharides are useful as glycosyl donors in glycosylation conversion reactions catalyzed by glycoside hydrolases or transfer reactions catalyzed by transglycosylases during the preparation of oligosaccharides or polysaccharides. |
