titleOfInvention | Novel amylase and use thereof |
abstract | The present invention relates to a newly identified polynucleotide sequence comprising a gene encoding a novel amylase isolated from Aspergillus niger. The invention features the full length of this novel gene, a cDNA sequence comprising the full length sequence encoding the novel amylase, and the amino acid sequence of a full-length functional protein, and their functional equivalents. The invention also relates to methods of using these enzymes in industrial methods and diagnostic methods of fungal infections. Also included in the present invention are cells transformed with the polynucleotide of the present invention and cells in which the amylase of the present invention has been genetically modified to enhance or decrease its activity and / or expression level. |
