abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner having both heat resistance and low-temperature fixability and having high mechanical strength, a production method thereof, an electrophotographic developer, and an image forming method. An electrophotographic toner containing at least a binder resin containing a thermoplastic resin and a colorant, wherein the thermoplastic resin is obtained by melt-mixing a crystalline polyester resin and an amorphous polyester resin. When the obtained mixed polyester resin is formed into a film having a thickness of 20 [μm], the luminous reflectance Y becomes 1.5 [%], the melt mixing temperature: T 0 [° C.] and the melt mixing time: t 0 (2) Next, the crystalline polyester resin and the amorphous polyester resin are mixed with a melt mixing temperature: T 0 to T 0 +20 [° C.], and a melt mixing time: t 0 to t. 0 +10 minutes conditions electrophotographic toner obtained by the process of melt-mixing, and a manufacturing method thereof, an electrophotographic developer comprising a toner and a carrier, and an image forming apparatus using the developer.
