titleOfInvention Blood collection set with ventilation mechanism
abstract To smoothly store a patient's blood in a vacuum container. A blood collection set includes an intravenous needle assembly, a flexible plastic tube extending from the intravenous needle assembly, and a non-patient needle assembly. The blood collection set is formed with a ventilation mechanism that allows the outflow of air while blocking the outflow of blood or other fluids. Therefore, the flow of the collected blood is prevented from being obstructed by the air in the tube. And taking into account the larger flush visualization at the venous inlet allows air present in the inner part of the blood collection set to be evacuated, avoiding the need to use a waste tube.
