abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a stereoscopic image display device by a stereo image display capable of simultaneous observation by a large number of people without special glasses. A large convex lens La is disposed to output a stereoscopic image, and a black and white television D is disposed at or near the position where the face image of the observer O is substantially formed behind the large convex lens. A video camera is arranged to input the image of the observer O through La, and a stereo image to be observed by the observer O is displayed in a time-sharing manner between the observer O and the black and white television D.
