Thermosetting powder coating and method for producing thermosetting powder coating |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bake and harden at a relatively low temperature while sufficiently preventing low-temperature curability and occurrence of so-called flaking, despite being a thermosetting powder coating obtained by a so-called wet process. However, it is possible to obtain a coating film having a high level of cross-linking density and appearance, and to provide a thermosetting powder coating material suitable not only for dark colors but also for light colors. A resin solution containing an organic solvent is dispersed in an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble polymer to prepare a suspension, and the organic solvent in the dispersed phase of the suspension is distilled off to remove the organic solvent in the dispersed phase. A thermosetting powder coating obtained by solidifying particles and then separating the particles in the solidified dispersed phase from the suspension, wherein the resin solution contains epoxy groups and blocked isocyanate groups A thermosetting powder coating material comprising an acrylic resin and a carboxylic acid group or carboxylic anhydride group-containing compound as a curing agent.
