abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material in which the recording running property and the recording image quality are improved in a well-balanced manner without impairing the recording running property under a high humidity condition. A heat-sensitive recording material having a heat-sensitive recording layer containing a leuco dye and a colorant on one side of a transparent film, and a protective layer, and a back layer containing a pigment and an adhesive on the other side. In this, the pigment contained in the back layer is two types of spherical resin particles having different compositions, one of which has a volume average particle size of 6 to 15 μm, the other of which has a volume average particle size of 1 to 5 μm, and a volume average particle size of 6 A thermal recording material in which the ratio of spherical resin particles of -15 μm and spherical resin particles of a volume average particle size of 1-5 μm is 1: 10-5: 5 by mass ratio.
