PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffractive optical element with little fluctuation in diffraction efficiency even when an environmental change occurs. SOLUTION: In the diffractive optical element 1 in which a plurality of diffraction gratings are stacked and a maximum optical path length difference of light passing through the plurality of diffraction gratings is an integral multiple of the wavelengths at a plurality of wavelengths, inorganic fine particles are dispersed. A first diffraction grating 6 formed of the resin material formed, and a second diffraction grating 7 formed of a material having substantially the same composition of the resin material and the organic substance.
