PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing cadmium sulfide nanocrystals that emit light at multiple wavelengths, a cadmium sulfide nanocrystal produced thereby, and a white light emitting diode device using the same. A method for producing a semiconductor cadmium sulfide nanocrystal according to the present invention includes a step of mixing a cadmium precursor and a dispersant with a solvent having a weak coordination power and heating the mixture to obtain a cadmium precursor solution; A step of dissolving a precursor in a solvent having a weak coordination power to obtain a sulfur precursor solution, and a step of injecting the sulfur precursor solution into a heated cadmium precursor solution to grow cadmium sulfide crystals.
