Transporter gene |
abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel transporter gene and its protein. SOLUTION: A fetal gene library was screened by random sequencing and a novel gene showing significant homology with organic cation transporters OCT1 and OCT2 was successfully isolated. The proteins encoded by these genes actually functioned as transporters for various organic cations. [Selection figure] None |
