abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor material realizing a high selectivity based on a new detection principle, a manufacturing method thereof and the like. SOLUTION: A gas sensor material using an organic-inorganic hybrid material in which a low-molecular organic compound having a charge is inserted between layers of an inorganic compound having a layered structure, and has a function of detecting gas by a change in resistance value. A gas sensor material having high selectivity with respect to VOC gas, a manufacturing method thereof, and a gas sensor. The present invention is useful for providing a VOC countermeasure sensor based on a new detection principle that does not depend on the detection principle of a conventional oxide semiconductor sensor.
