PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED To find a method for efficiently producing a polyester resin even when a catalyst other than a tin compound is used. In a process for producing a polyester resin in which a polyol component and a polycarboxylic acid component are polycondensed, 1,2-propylene glycol ester of polycarboxylic acid is used as at least part of the polycarboxylic acid component, and 1,2-propylene is used. A process for producing a polyester resin, wherein glycol is eliminated. The polycondensation is preferably performed in the presence of a titanium-containing catalyst. [Selection figure] None |
