An organic solvent thickener or thixotropy imparting agent comprising a compound represented by the general formula (1) that satisfies the condition (a). General formula (1) (R) tZ- (B) s In the formula, R represents an alkyl group substituted with at least 8 fluorine atoms having 4 or more carbon atoms, and Z represents a (t + s) -valent linkage. Represents a group, and B represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or the like. s and t are integers from 1 to 6.
