PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inhibiting an ethylene response of a plant or a plant product, in particular, for regulating a physiological function of a plant. In an inert environment, optionally in the presence of a non-reactive solvent, a salt of a metal amide and a halogenated carbene are reacted to give the following formula: Wherein n is a number from 1 to 4 and R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, saturated or unsaturated C1-C4 alkyl, hydroxy, halogen, C1-C4 alkoxy, amino and carboxy. And a method for reducing impurities having the ability to reversibly bind to a plant ethylene receptor site as much as possible. [Selection figure] None |
