abstract | 【Task】 A novel fucose sulfate-containing polysaccharide-degrading enzyme and its gene are provided. [Solution] A polypeptide comprising a specific amino acid sequence derived from Flavobacterium, or an amino acid sequence having at least one of deletion, addition, insertion or substitution of one or more amino acid residues in the sequence, and having the following physicochemical properties: An isolated gene comprising a DNA sequence encoding a polypeptide having an activity of reducing the molecular weight of a sulfated-fucose-containing polysaccharide and releasing a sulfated-fucose-containing oligosaccharide compound. (A) Constituent sugar: contains uronic acid. (B) Flavobacterium sp. It is degraded by fucoidan-degrading enzyme produced by SA-0082 (FERM BP-5402). [Selection] Figure 1 |
