PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-press development type or non-processed (non-development) type lithographic printing plate precursor having a printed image with high visibility at the stage of image exposure with an infrared laser, a lithographic printing plate precursor making method and lithographic printing A lithographic printing method using a plate precursor is provided. A support has a photosensitive-thermosensitive layer capable of recording an image by infrared laser exposure on a support, and is mounted on a printing press without undergoing a development processing step after image recording, or image recording after mounting the printing press. Thus, a lithographic printing plate precursor that can be printed, wherein the photosensitive-thermosensitive layer contains (1) an infrared absorber and (2) a compound that changes color when oxidized or reduced. A lithographic printing plate precursor, a lithographic printing plate precursor making method, and a lithographic printing method using the lithographic printing plate precursor.
