titleOfInvention | Polymer dispersant for inkjet applications |
abstract | 【Task】 Provided is a pigment-based inkjet ink composition that is stable even near neutral pH. [Solution] Inkjet inks containing a liquid vehicle and a polymer dispersed pigment dispersed in the liquid vehicle are disclosed and described. More specifically, the polymer-dispersed pigment of the present invention includes a pigment encapsulated by a polymer having a hydrophilic part and a hydrophobic part. The polymer may be a polymerization product of at least one first monomer having a hydrophilic group and a second monomer having a hydrophobic group. Further, the polymer can be configured such that the polymer dispersed pigment is stable in a liquid vehicle even at a pH of about 5.5 to 8.5. By using the polymer-dispersed pigment of the present invention, it becomes possible to form an ink-jet ink capable of expanding the options of the bleed suppression mechanism and increasing the reliability of the ink-jet device.
