titleOfInvention A method for detecting the presence of dormant cryptobiotic microorganisms
abstract A method for detecting a dormant cryptobiotic microorganism is provided. A dormant cryptobiotic by detecting electromagnetic radiation in the region of 710 nm to 860 nm emanating from an alkaline earth metal salt of pyridinedicarboxylic acid when excited by electromagnetic energy in the region of 610 nm to 680 nm. Method for detecting microorganisms. By utilizing the new, lower energy emission from endogenous calcium pyridinedicarboxylate, bacterial spores can be added without adding any reagents to the sample, processing the sample, or contacting the sample. And fungal spores and oocytes can be detected quickly. [Selection] Figure 1
