Acute leukemia treatment with PML activator and use thereof |
abstract |
An object of the present invention is to provide a differentiation inducer for leukemia cells and a therapeutic agent for leukemia containing the differentiation inducer. The present inventor has found that the function of the AML1 complex is activated by dephosphorylation of the PML protein, which is a component of the AML1 complex, and a specific protein that controls the phosphorylation of the PML protein. The phosphorylating enzyme PMLK was identified. Inhibitors of PMLK are thought to be able to induce differentiation of leukemia cells by activating the AML1 complex through dephosphorylation of PML protein. [Selection figure] None |
