abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic developer and an electrophotographic image forming method for obtaining a high-quality and stable image over a long period of time with respect to an image forming apparatus and apparatus to which the electrophotographic image forming method is applied. In a developer containing a toner and a carrier, the carrier has a coat layer of a resin containing a magnetic core and a conductive powder, and the charge control agent is incompatible with the resin in the coat layer. A part of the charge control agent is exposed on the surface of the coating layer, and the number average dispersion diameter Da of the domains of the charge control agent exposed on the surface of the coating layer is a resin-coated carrier that satisfies the following relationship: An electrophotographic developer, and an image forming method using the developer.
